We don’t accept cases, we accept clients.
It’s a bold statement but we believe that two things must occur for us to accept a client: There has to be an issue that merits legal involvement, and it is a good fit between attorney and client.
It’s an all-or-nothing proposition. If these criteria aren’t met, we are not the firm for you.
Legal problems never occur at a good time and with them comes anxiety and confusion. Demands from management, questions and calls from insurance adjusters, along with human resources actions are just some of the frustrations. By limiting our practice to employment law with an emphasis on sexual harassment cases and severe and catastrophic injury claims, we know when to act — and when to hold back. More importantly, we are here to guide you. Our years of experience can only help you make those tough decisions.
Our Areas of Expertise
Sexual harassment at work
You are here because it won’t stop. You’ve tried to get it to stop. He won’t listen. Management does not care. Now is when you need guidance and direction. It’s your job, family and future. We can help make it stop — and have your voice heard.
Learn more about what you can do with our free e-book, “Sexual Harassment Answers.” We ask for your email address so we can keep you up to date on the law — and we won’t ever sell your personal information.
With over 35 years of experience, we have the perspective of assisting our clients as they navigate the unexpected challenges that life brings. Our practice’s track record demonstrates we have the determination to fight the long battle that has resulted in precedent-setting court decisions for our clients.
Severe and catastrophic injury cases
We have been there. When a wreck happens or you lose a loved one, your world is turned upside down. Then come the frustrations: doctors’ appointments and how to pay for them; filling out forms for insurance companies; and insurance adjusters that hound you relentlessly, then try to lowball you when it comes to replacing your car or settling your claim. It is all overwhelming.
In our practice, not only do we advise you on how to move your claim forward, we can help you with insurance issues, including negotiating a total loss of your car, filling out medical and insurance forms, and negotiating a resolution to your claim. We feel so strongly about this that we wrote a free downloadable e-book, “15 things you need to know after a wreck.”
When you are ready to talk, we are there.
Employment law: Individual and management
Employment law evolves rapidly, far beyond what most employers and employees can keep abreast of. So when your job is at risk or you're facing delicate negotiations with an employee, you need legal representation by sound counsel. For over 35 years, we have been providing that counsel for members of upper management and the workforce.
Much like a doctor who prescribes a course of preventative care, we practice preventive legal care by giving our clients training on legal and diversity matters, and employment policy. We offer handbook reviews, wage and hour reviews, and updates on recent cases that affect your business. Our experience will help decrease the likelihood that your company will have legal problems. Lawsuits are expensive and time-consuming — those are the hard costs. Lawsuits also create soft costs that are difficult to quantify, including having to testify in court and the effect a lawsuit can have on company morale.
Sometimes a legal matter ends up in court. If that happens, an attorney and a support team who have been there before will stand next to you. Our firm is experienced in all forms of alternative dispute resolution. We understand the value of early claim resolution, but we are always prepared to take the matter to trial.
